Special Interests
Creative and Performing Arts Center
The YMCA's Creative and Performing Arts Center (CAPA) opened its doors in 1996 with the purpose of building self-esteem and achievement levels in urban youth. Focusing on the performing arts as an alternative to traditional enrichment programs, CAPA is now considered a safe-haven for many of the youth participants. The Creative and Performing Arts Center desires to use the Arts as a social action strategy that will cultivate talent while revitalizing communities. CAPA programs include:
- Dance Instruction
- The YMCA Boys Choir
- Girls Choir
