Y Camp provides an exciting, safe community for young people to explore the outdoors, build self-esteem, develop interpersonal skills and make lasting friendships and memories.
Camp at the Y is designed for pre-school through teens and has something for all interests. This includes traditional outdoor camps and “specialty” camps involving fun adventures and themes, sports, games, arts, dance and much more.

Traditional Camp
Leadership, friendship, learning and FUN; isn't that what camp is all about? Summer camp should beone of childhood's fondest memories. There will be many activities to choose from including; swimming, arts & crafts, field trips, sports and large group games. Our program offers both variety and flexibility. CAMP HILLSIDE IS AN OUTDOOR CAMP.
Pre-School Camp
This half-day camp will provide your your child a summer full of new experiences, making new friends and will learn to follow our four core values: caring, respect, honesty, and responsibility.
Swim Camp
Join us for a cool time in our pol and most popular specialty camp at the South City Family YMCA! The morning begins with an hour of organized pool activities both instructional and recreational. All levels of swimming ability are encouraged to participate.
Sports Camps
Basketball, baseball, flag football and soccer camps are offered. In addition to teaching skills and playing a lot of the game, full-day campers will enjoy afternoon swimming and field trips.
Specialty Camp
Want to try something new? Try our variety of Specialty Camps. We offer cooking, science, girl power, cheerleading, art, skateboarding, science and new this summer Survival Camp. All specialty camp participants (with the exception of Cooking Camp) will enjoy afternoon swimming and all take part in the weekly field trips with the exception of Skate Camps.
Discount applies when registering online and in person at the branch. One discount allowed per camper. Does not apply to specialty camps. Camp deposit required upon registration. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Does not include Camp Lakewood, Before and After Care or Counselor in Training programs.

YMCA Camp Lakewood, a branch of the YMCA of Greater St. Louis, is a co-ed summer residential camp for ages 6-17, located 75 miles south of St. Louis between Potosi and Steelville, MO. Set amidst 5,000 beautiful woodland acres with a private 360-acre lake, Camp Lakewood is a true escape. Your child will forget all about television, video games, and mp3 players while discovering the ultimate childhood experience, all within a safe and trusted environment.
