Y-Weight Challenge

Our Y-Weight Challenge is a 12 week program where you work out three times per week with a personal trainer in a small group training format of 4-5 people per group. Weekly weigh-ins and small group size give a person support to begin their weight loss goals. The next  12 Y-Weight Challenge will begin June 7 and go through both Summer 1 and 2 session. This allows teachers an opportunity to finish school and participate in the program.

Summer Shape Up

Our Summer Shape Up program will be held in the Summer session for 6 weeks, June 3 - July 14th. It is called Summer Shape Up because the program will help prepare you for summer activities. If your goal is to

  • Make lawn work or gardening easier
  • Hike or walk on vacation without getting out of breath
  • Prepare for a reunion
  • Fit into your swimsuit
  • Play with your children/grandchildren without getting tired
  • Walk through the Zoo without getting tired,

then this program is for you! You will work out three times per week with a personal trainer in a small group setting. There are no weekly weigh-ins or nutritional components. This program emphasizes getting fit through strength and endurance exercise so you can have more fun in your life!

Personal Training

Striving for optimal health can be a full time job.  Our personal training programs take the guesswork out of health and fitness.  Personalized 60 minute fitness sessions with a nationally certified trainer are a safe and effective way to help you reach your goals.  This program encompasses cardiovascular exercise, resistance training, and stretching to increase flexibility, strength, and overall health in an individualized goal-oriented program.  Since we feel a fitness program should be built on a strong foundation, all of our personal training programs include a health and wellness consultation.

Youth Fitness Center Orientation (Ages 13-16)

One of our nationally certified personal trainers or fitness staff members will teach youth how to safely and effectively utilize equipment that is appropriate for their age and height.

Youth will learn:

  • Risks and benefits of resistance training.
  • How to develop and safe and effective resistance training program using age appropriate exercises and equipment.
  • Guidelines for using free weights, cardiovascular equipment and weight machines.
  • Fitness center rules and general etiquette.

Youth ages 13 – 16 may enjoy full use of the fitness center but must complete the youth orientation and bring their lanyard each time they use the equipment.

Youth ages 8 – 12 may only use the running track and gymnasium.
