Aquatics
YMCAs have been teaching people to swim for more than a century. In YMCA aquatics programs, children learn to be safe around water and they feel the sense of accomplishment that comes with learning something new. Aquatics at the Y are designed to teach personal water safety, stroke development, water sports and games, rescue and personal growth skills. Classes are divided by age and by skill levels. Advancing to the next level is dependent on the individual’s completion of required skills. If needed, we will assess your child's swimming abilities, ensuring that your child is placed in an age and level appropriate class. Adult classes and swim programs are also available.

Session length does not guarantee that all children will advance to the next level. All instructors are trained to work with children.
