Expected Behavior
The YMCA is an inclusive, family-friendly organization. We expect all our members and guests to model our Core Values—Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility—in their conduct and language. The YMCA has the right to terminate a membership at our discretion if actions or behaviors are not deemed in the best interests of the organization. Please review our Branch Policy to read our Code of Conduct.
Bringing Guests
As a full member of the YMCA, you may bring in unlimited guests with you to experience our facility. Guests may visit with you twice before joining or payiing the daily fee of $15. A photo ID is required for guests.
Physical Readiness
Before starting any exercise program, please check with your primary care physician. If you are age 18 or older, you may ask our fitness staff for a Health and Wellness Consultation to help you determine what level of workout is right for you. Talk with our fitness center staff to get recommendations on our cardiovascular machines, free weights and circuit training machines.
Member Input
We value your suggestions for improving our YMCA. If you have a comment or suggestion, please pass it along to any member of our staff, fill out a member comment card and drop it in one of the suggestion boxes located throughout our YMCA, or contact us by e-mail, dalferman@ymcastlouis.org, or phone, 314-436-7070.
Services for People With Disabilities
The YMCA of Greater St. Louis serves people of all abilities. Through our Inclusion Services Department, we provide reasonable accommodations to enable all people to participate in our programs and classes. Visit our Services for People With Special Needs section.
Sexual Offender Background Check Policy
The mission of the YMCA of Greater St. Louis is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Important to this effort is our ability to provide a safe and threat-free environment. For this reason the YMCA monitors the sexual offender registry. Persons on the list will not be eligible for YMCA membership, program participation, volunteer or employment opportunities with the YMCA of Greater St. Louis.
