Y Camp provides an exciting, safe community for young people to explore the outdoors, build self-esteem, develop interpersonal skills and make lasting friendships and memories.
Camp at the Y is designed for pre-school through teens and has something for all interests. This includes traditional outdoor camps and “specialty” camps involving fun adventures and themes, sports, games, arts, dance and much more.
Held primarily outdoors at the YMCA, campers get to do games, crafts and adventures with both active and quiet play all designed around weekly themes. We beat the heat with water activities and swimming. Plus, we take exciting field trips! Campers bring a snack, water, lunch and drink, and sunscreen each day and swimsuit and towel on swim days.

YMCA Camp Lakewood, a branch of the YMCA of Greater St. Louis, is a co-ed summer residential camp for ages 6-17, located 75 miles south of St. Louis between Potosi and Steelville, MO. Set amidst 5,000 beautiful woodland acres with a private 360-acre lake, Camp Lakewood is a true escape.
