TRADITIONAL CAMPS
are designed for a wide variety of conventional interests that include arts & crafts, group games, nature exploration, swimming, field trips and more. Camps are themed weekly. Campers are typically grouped by age and group size may be larger in nature. Most camp activities will be held outdoors with indoor activities provided based on the day and theme.
Camp Discovery
Ages 5 - 12. Get your giggles out this summer! Camp Discovery is full of enriching recreational, educational, interactive and above all else, fun activities that your camper will love! Each week we will have a special camp theme, a field trip on Thursday and a super all-camp activity on Friday. Campers will learn to model the four core values of the YMCA: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, all while making new friends and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Weeks 1 - 10*, June 3- August 9
*No Camp on the 4th of July, prices will be prorated for Week 5.

CIT Camp (Counselor in Training)
Ages 13 - 16. Gain valuable on-the-job experience assisting our Camp Counselors throughout the day! This is hard work, but can be an inspiring learning experience, too. An application and interview are required. CITs will be selected by the Director and notified if they are selected. Training and a 3-week commitment at the same camp are required. There are a limited number of positions available. Applications are available at the Service Center or on-line and are due by April 19.

Week 4,5,6
Special Interest Camps
are designed to offer activities focused on a particular interest or progressive opportunity while incorporating traditional Y camp principals. Camp size may be smaller in nature and may be offered either indoors or outdoors based of the specified interest.
Art Camp
Ages 5 - 12. Let us embrace your child’s inner Van Gogh! Campers will use their creative minds each day through a different art media including painting, drawing, pottery, and others. Each day will also have a theme, with our final day ending in an Art Show for all parents and guardians! Week 2: June 10 - June14
Week 7: July 15 - July 19

Project Green
Ages 5-12. Going green is all about turning trash into treasure at the Y. Campers will work on several earth saving projects such as planting flowers, making crafts out of recycled material and making our Y a sustainable place. Camp will also include traditional camp activities as swimming and games.

Girls Rock Camp
Ages 5-12. Good-bye princesses and hello rock stars at our GIRLS ROCK camp! Girls will dance, sing and cheer while developing confidence and embracing individuality. Girls will love the opportunity to bond with others and create lasting memories making jewelry and special treasures. Camp will also include traditional camp activities such as swimming and games.

Boys will be Boys Camp
Ages 5-12. Ooey, gooey boy stuff will be our focus all week! Boys camp will include making slime, paper airplanes, awesome, energy burning games and more while building meaningful friendships. Camp will also include traditional camp activities as swimming and games.

Dance Camp
Ages 7-12. So you think you can dance? Let loose and move your body in different styles of dance and cheer! Being introduced to different styles of dance will keep your child creatively engaged throughout the day! Traditional camp activities included.

Sunrise Swim Lesson Camp
Campers will participate in a two week, (Monday through Friday) group swim lesson for weeks 3 & 4 or weeks 8 & 9 for one hour a day, prior to traditional camp. Campers will learn pool rules, basic pool safety and stroke technique. Must be comfortable in the water. At the end of the two week lesson they will receive a certificate stating what Y Swim Lesson level they completed! This camp can supplement another registered camp week and your child will be escorted to the camp.
Week 3 & 4 and Week 8 & 9

H2O Madness Camp
Ages 5 - 12. Our goal is to provide your child with a camp that will explore different water sports & games while benefitting from our traditional day camp structure (and getting some time to dry off!). Children will discover new things about everything from water volleyball to marine life in the ocean.

Sports Sampler
We provide a fun and safe atmosphere for any young athlete to develop and improve skills. Every day we will focus on one sport, so your little athlete can show his or her talents! Camp will also include traditional camp activities such as swimming and games.
Ages 5-8, Week 3: June 17 - June 21
Ages 9-12, Week 4: June 24 - 28

Recreational Sports
This camp is designed to give the basic understanding of a variety of non-traditional sports so your little athlete can develop new talents! Sports included are badminton, bowling, kickball, water polo, and more! Camp will also include traditional camp activities like swimming and games.
Ages 5-8, Week 7: July15 - July 19
Ages 9-12, Week 8: July 22 - July 26

Specialty Camps
Jr. Lifeguard Camp
Ages 11 - 16. Practice and learn lifeguarding skills and get a head start on certifications. Learn the basics of YMCA lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid. Must be able to swim 100 yards and tread for 30 seconds. Week 5: July 1-5*

Water Park Hop
Ages 5 - 12. Campers will explore different water parks throughout the St. Louis area. Each day we will start out with a traditional camp schedule with activities and then head out to the chosen water park for some splashing fun! Campers must be at least 48 inches tall.
