Facility Policies
Ready to visit the Carondelet Park Rec Complex? Here are a few things you need to know about our branch. For a list of policies regarding membership, click here.
Your Membership Card
Your membership card is your key to the facility. Present your membership card every time you visit us. Full and Metro members age 13 and up will be issued permanent membership cards with photos. Memberships and cards are non-transferable.
Expected Behavior
The Carondelet Park Rec Complex is an inclusive, family-friendly organization. We expect all our members and guests to model our four values—caring, honesty, respect, responsibility—in their conduct and language. The Carondelet Park Rec Complex has the right to terminate a membership at our discretion if actions or behaviors are not deemed in the best interests of the organization.
Workout Attire
Shorts and a shirt or a leotard are appropriate in most areas of our facility. Street shoes are not allowed on wood floors. Proper swimsuits are required.
Guest Pass Policy
If you are new to the Carondelet Park Rec Complex, come and tour this brand new building with our friendly staff! You can even visit the indoor pool, fitness center or gymnasium on a guest pass. Just bring a photo ID and meet us at the Service Center!
Members of the Carondelet Park Rec Complex may bring along guests to try the facility. Guests may visit the Rec Complex and any YMCA in the association twice before joining. All guests over the age of 13 must show photo identification to enter. Guests cannot use or visit the facility without providing a photo ID.
Members may only bring two guests per visit. Other restrictions may apply at the discretion of the Manager on Duty (MOD). This guest pass is for the indoor facility only. For more information on purchasing a guest pass to the outdoor pool, please visit our outdoor pool website.
Physical Readiness
Before starting any exercise program, please check with your doctor. If you are age 13 or older, you may ask our fitness staff for a physical readiness questionnaire to help you determine your level of work out.
Health & Wellness Consultation
Please schedule your complimentary wellness consultation as soon as possible by contacting the service center. One of our Wellness staff members will meet with you to discuss your goals and help you get started on the path to achieve them.
Facility Regulations
Please observe the policies and rules posted in each area of our facility. Our program directors, Health & Wellness staff and lifeguards are on duty to ensure your safety. Please respect them and understand their responsibilities.
Holidays
All branches of the the YMCA of Greater St. Louis are closed on Easter Sunday and Christmas Day. The Carondelet Park Rec Complex is open (with limited hours): Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and Thanksgiving Day.
Facility Maintenance Closings
Major maintenance in our facilities requires that we close certain areas for up to two weeks each year, during which time members may continue to use other areas of the facility or another branch of the YMCA of Greater St. Louis. Signs will be posted in advance.
Emergency Procedures
Your safety and good health are our foremost concerns. Should an accident, injury or unusual incident occur while you are at our facility, contact a staff member immediately.
Supervision of Children
To ensure safety, children under the age of 13 should be directly supervised by a parent or guardian in all areas of the facility. Children 7 and under must have an adult in the pool with them. Children age 8-12 must have an adult in the building, even if the child is enrolled in a class.
Locker rooms and Lockers
Children 5 and up should use gender appropriate locker rooms or families may use the familty changing room. Camera phones and cameras should not be used in the locker rooms for the privacy of all members, Each member or guest should provide his or her own padlock for daily use lockers. Please remove locks when you leave the facility. Locks left on overnight will be removed and contents taken to the service center unless you rent your locker.
