YOUTH SPORTS
This mainstay of YMCA programs for young people fills kids’ discretionary time with positive activities and caring adult attention. Children participating in Y Youth Sports learn about the importance of teamwork and building self-confidence. Adults who volunteer as coaches have a unique opportunity to work with children and assist in building character in the process.
The YMCA Youth Sports Programs consist of 7-week sessions. Our youngest league begins at 2 and 3 years old and is a clinic style program. Our rookies league begins at 4 and 5 yeas old, this instructional league consists of practices and scrimmages and the main focus is learning, not winning. Our school aged teams run from 1st/2nd grade on up through 7th & 8th grade. Uniform and end of season awards are included in all leagues!
